AK suited is a very good to play hand because if you hit either of the cards you have top pair on board.  Also you have the flush and straight draw options which are always nice.  You just can't get caught putting all your chips in pre-flop with this too many times.

Good advice. It,s hard to play A/K from the early position brcause you don,t know whats behind you !! Just don,t fall in love with as pocket 5,s will beat you !! It,s still a drawing hand and if you don,t flop an Ace or King, all you have is ace high !!!

Last week this hand didnt worked for me in ring game, to be honest not once, whenever I had it, someone had something really better like AA or he floped trips with his QQ. I had no luck with it, but when I get AK suited I am happy guy!

Just recently i had AA and was up againts the old AK and i was able to get my stack all in pre flop, not too dificult when your againts AK, but i was pretty happy to begin with, saw the flop, was pretty happy with the cards that fell, then the turn and river came, and it took me a second to realize, he had gotten a flush with his king
