AA of course

Postby Wayincer1991 » Sat Nov 19, 2005 4:51 pm

I would always take AA some people say that they hate them but they are undoubltably awsome and the people who hate them are the people who get too greedy and try to sucker people in when they should just push and hope for a caller.

I was at this home game once and someone was holding bullets and was able to isolate the table to heads up early in the tournament.  This fish calls and the flop comes 9 7 duece rainbow so it's all in time (not sure if that's how I'd play the bullets in that spot) and then he gets an instant call as the fish was holding 97.  The board doesn't pair and the bullets are only used to commit suicide.  Absolutely played all wrong but the bullets are not 100% even against seven duece.

AA can be very good or bad, depends on how you play them. I think position is important and also howo many ppl are playing. I have been  burnt too many times thinking all-in AA was good.

good luck

I like to limp in with AA. AA is the best hand. People dont like it but it is meant to lose sometimes. On a table of 10, and if all ten people call each time, AA wins 33% of the time.

Anyone whos says they don't like AA needs to have their head examined.

If you play them properly, you will win with them 7-8 times outta 10. If you aren't comfortable with those odds, then try another card game.

That isn't necessarily correct.  It depends on the number of opponents in the hand.  That is why it is important to limit your opposition to one or two.

Pocket Rockets . . .

Postby Extry1994 » Sat Dec 10, 2005 4:41 pm

I love it when player complain about getting A-A . . . usually after having them cracked.  I always say "Yeah, Aces are for suckers, I always fold'm . . . unless they're suited!".

OK so pocket aces get beat a lot in online poker. I usually raise about 4X the bb to get everyone with bad hands out. Then i usually go all in if the flop is all low to take down the pot and get the drawing hands out.

I think the reason people complain about AA is because they think they are going to win any hand they play with them, and when they get beat it leaves a sour taste in their mouth
