I just joined this site and am interested in getting my five posts but I also want to contribute. I am a member of several chat sites and learn from the posts on them and every once in awhile someone calls B.S. to one of my posts. Anyway I see this post on how to play 22 and open it up and all it says is "fold 22?". This guy is only here to post 5 times and you will never hear another word from him.
The way I play 22 is try to limp in or at least get in cheap to see the flop. If I hit the set I'm good to go, if not, I fold to any bet.

It depends on the situation. Later on in a tourney, especially after i'm in the money, I play this hand agressively, trying to take blinds and get folks out of the hand. Also, this was the most garbage post ever. This kid should be required to make 25 posts before he is allowed to play.

The board is littered with posts like this.  But I'll answer it anyway.

As the players at your table decrease, this hand (and other small pairs) increase in value.  At a full table, this hand should be played in late position for cheap.  All you are really looking for is to hit trips on the flop, or semi-bluff if all the other players in front of you check.

22 can win alot if u play it right. If alot of people are in the hand limp in and fold if you dont hit a set. If you are playing 3 handed raise alot prefolp. If a person calls you can put them on two faces cards. IF the flop is like 843 u should have him beat so bet aggrisively.

2 2 on Absolute

Postby Itive1982 » Sun Dec 11, 2005 6:05 pm

I dont know about anyone else but when I have 22 I treat them like pocket aces   On absolute poker they always hit a 3rd 2    Its great.....It sucks if you ahve aces against them but absolute poker has soo many bb's that playing the dog hand usually you wil come away with money.

I bet you lose a lot, too.

I play these like most earlier posters.  Get in on the flop for cheap then bail if you don't see a set, and the pot starts growing.  If someone raises big pre-flop, I will fold most of the time, but as usual, it depends on the in-game variables.

i try to raise with 22 . if it is 10/ 20 or something in a tourny...i will raise to about 100 if nobody raised b4 me.. if i get called i go with it till they raise. if i didnt get any help, i will fold .
at a money table. sure just call the minimum and stick around unless u know someone has u beat ...

lololol...to the person 3 posts ahead of me....Wow.....why would you ever thing of going all in with pocket 2's?    They dont win everytime....Just raise the minimum and see a flop...Try to be in control of the hand if a bad flop comes out so you can bluff and get the opponent out.....
