Omaha

Postby Ruspinfirl » Sat Nov 26, 2005 2:35 am

I'd like to see more Omaha & Omaha H/L freerolls
And more activity on the regular sit & go & cash tables.

I think it's a better game than Texas

What's anyone else think ?

Texas hold'em is way better than omaha. Omaha is fun though but no where near hold'em.

Yeah omaha is a great game, but I think lots of online players simply dont get it. I had situation when guy held 4 spades and spade came on the flop and raised and raised, and lost and afterwards he cursed me how did I won that one, and wtf is that he had a flush, LOL.
It would be good if there could be omaha tourney in calendar!

Your post is a ringing endorsement for studying up on Omaha/8...which is also exactly the same reason it has become my most profitable game.  People don't know how to play, and that creates extraordinary profit opportunity.  Think about it...everyone is learning HE and it is creating a knowledge bottleneck.

If a new player asked me for advice on what game to play, I would not hesitate to recommend O/8.

Charter:  I'm sure you'd prefer the ring games if you gave them a try.  Just put a little effort into learning the game and you'll be way ahead of 70% of the rest of the table.

Omaha hi/lo is by far my favorite game! I love NL don't get me wrong, but to me omaha and omaha 8 is much more challenging.  You can't really play bingo poker, it is a drawing game, but if you have the nutz, the chasers always loose! I love that.  I second the motion we should have more  games in our league! GOOD SUGGESTION!

I do like omaha h/l and 7 stud h/l.  there are are few leagues that offer these games but they are few and far between.  I like 7 stud h/l better than anything else.  But I still like to play holdem.

The Strategy of Omaha, is to be patient and not chase unless you have ALOT of outs.  You should take the time to try and learn this game brother, I promise you'll love it if you learn it!

I agree with Jayke. I started Omaha chasing a lot. Now my strategy tends to be to work out what the best hand could be from the community cards showing. If you haven't got that hand or a draw to it then be patient and consider folding.

I like omaha h/l but I think you can keep the regular omaha.  Well its just that I can't play that worth a darn!  I have played a couple of tournaments last saturday and I really play crappy!
