Deciding on one poker site

Postby Ouseetteled » Sun Oct 30, 2005 7:33 pm

I can't seem to commit to one poker site.  Can anyone tell me if playing lots of sites is a better plan or should I stick to 1 only.  I can't help but try other sites because of their freeroll offerings.  I know I should get used to one site but I can't help but try others.  I wonder if everyone else has the same problem.  Fear of commitment.

Fear of commitment. LOL .  My girl has about 40 sited downloaded and she has freeroll winning on at least 15 of them.

Sounds to me like you have a addiction to freerolls rather than a commitment issue

I have about 15 downloaded, but only play on 5 of them regularly.  I play on each one for different reasons, and that is why I would recommend doing the same.

GreenTie:  I have $59 in bonus to clear there and I really like the bonus structure.

Titan:  I have $80 left in bonus available, but I really think the bonus structure sucks.  Once I get through this bonus, I'll probably move most of my $ out.

CD:  I've recently started to play in the CD Poker Tour, so I keep enough money there to pay my entry fees.

AP:  League games and other freerolls.

RVP:  A friend of mine has a private table that we like to play at.  $1 entry fees.

Why would anyone want to limit themselves to 1 poker site?
I like some features on a lot of different sites, but I do only have money in AP, CD and 8)

I think playing more than 1 is of course the way to go for freerolls and if you deposit you get a number of bonus' at the different sites. So I would keep plaijng more.

I also have around 40 sites downloaded but on any given week will find that I steer towards a couple.. A) because I happen to have money at that site that week  B) seem to be on a winning streak at a particular site.

but then the next week comes around and some site has a huge freeroll or hugh  cash game payout that I want to attack  .  There are some sites that I have loaded and havent played in along time  In fact there was one that I hadn't been on for a couple of months--went to it and did well.

Which brings me to another point --It seems like I can do well on a site for a day or so then everything goes south.  The cards don't seem to come anymore and when they do someone is catching unbelieveable hands.  So I quess thats the main reason I switch sites.

of course after a withdrawal of funds the site always seems to be alittle rougher to me but maybe that is just selective memory working

only a few

Postby Aften1988 » Sun Dec 11, 2005 3:30 pm

I only have 5 sites downloaded and I only play 4 of them on a regular basis.  There is no way in the world I could keep up with any more than that.  I have promised myself that I would not download anymore without removing at least one.

I would try as many as possible then see which ones can accomadate your needs in different ways then start selecting a top 5 or top 10 that you would regularly play on each site has something different to offer.

I have downloaded about 40 sites and have winnings on most of them. I also have a bunch downloaded but unused. Absolute seems to be the site that gets most of my attention followed by Titan, RVP and Jetset. I might do the WIll Hill Freerolls on the week and Carib Sun (plus I do have league events on Carib Sun. One of my forum uses at least 7 sites so gotta have them. The one site I wish I spent more time on but dont is Pokerstars. Ive won money over there but never seem to get back over to play.  I might give one of the Deep Stacks a whirl over the New Year Holiday.
