In long tournaments it's always a good strategy to stay back and play ak, aa, aj, qq, kk etc (good hands). Occasional early in the tournament wiht lots of caller it might be good to play some junk. Hit two pair surprise your opponent. Even late if you are able to surprise your opponent then you could be in for a big pay day. But be smart, don' too attached to this. Mix it up and play the pot odds, if your re-raised gladly fold. Your big paid day hand will come soon enough. I like playing low suited connectors for surprise hands. They tend to pay-off.
