I think the trick in freerolls is to get lucky early in the game, and then play it easy untill the final table,   i always found that when i place in a freeroll, its becasue i made a decent stack in the very start, and then coasted my way to the final table.  Hope this helps

I agree with speedy volvo...once you get down to the final 10% of players, usually play is good.  other than that horde chips and watch out for people playing crap hands and catching miracle flops.

Yep, the best strategy is to catch a few newbs early on and then only play a few select hands to make it to the final.Good luck.

i agree, u gotta build up your stack early on or u r goners.  its a lil tuff waiting out the all inners in the beginning of the game, but i find if i just have a lil patience and wait for my cards, i generally do ok :)

I ussually get too the Top 100 or so and have made a few finals. But it seems I can't make it to the finals consistantly. ANY THOUGHTS

what makes you think that you will get to the final table as if there was some little flaw in your game that was holding you back.

Another aspect to the game that most here are missing is the essential need to be realistic.

Yes, I agree that sometimes early on you will get beat by some miracle river or some idiotic hand, but if you are consistently making it to the final 100 but then not placing at the final table. Well, I think you just need to realize that you are not as good as you think you are.

None of us are.

you have to change gears in a tourny. Before your about to place in the money tighten up if u have less chips but get aggressive if u have alot of chips, but don't get careless. most players will be tightat the cut off and u will be able to steal more blinds.

One thing to remember is that alot of the players who do well early on in a freeroll really aren't very good.  They have gone all-in againt other crap players and happened to win a big hand.  If you play conservatively early on, you can end up taking some of these players later on in the tournament.

I've been rivered twice today having hit straights on the flop, its annoying especially in freerolls but you've just got to bite and your tongue and keep your head

Thats why there free.. there is alot of entrants and not alot of cash to be won. If you want to make a final table, Play quality hands.. Dont be afraid to take a chance with alot of outs and mix up your play. It doesnt guarentee youll make it, but it increases your odds.
