small pair; what to do?

Postby Ouseetteled » Sun Feb 12, 2006 4:01 pm

if you get small pair say 66 do you limp or push?

i think it depends on position.............

the earlier the position......the more i limp.........

the later position the more i push........

Whats your thoughts?

Flop it

I play the pair off the flop.  Depending on the bets and what the deal may bring.  I like them, sometimes they are good and sometimes they aint worth a crap

i agree. it definitley depends on your position. if youre very short stacked i would say go all in no matter what. but when you have some chips it is a different story

position is all important. if you are talking about in tourneys - which it sounds like you are - they can be a very effective hand to push with, in order to steal blinds. if you are called, you still have a reasonable hand for your coinflip
