any raise before the flop is a gamble,, it's not like you have a crystal ball to see the next 5 cards

id have to say raising before the flop everyhand is too aggressive but pays off well when you hit a good hand. i think raising before the flop when you have good hands is the best strategy to have because it makes more people fold giving a better chance at winning the pot

everytime i raise before flop I seem to never catch my cards..or get beaten by the river.

I tend to raise preflop with a strong pair i.e. AA-88, suited face cards. I'll usually raise with AK, AQ, AJ and KQ. Also usually with A9s-A8s and K9s. Sometimes with a rag hand if I think I stand a chance to steal the blinds.
