split pots

Postby Hishonce » Sun Dec 18, 2005 5:07 pm

If one player has a pair(2's) in his hand and on the board there are two higher pairs and the other player has king high, would the pot be split or who would win?

Say you have 22 flop comes 665 guy has KQ and calls you down and turn is a 5 you bet he calls river is a 7 he wins. if the river was a 6 or a five you would have chopped.

The reason he would win in the aforementioned scenario is because you would have the board (6s and 5s with a 7 kicker) and he would have the the same two pair with a higher kicker.  Your twos would not be valid because you would already have a higher two pair (showing on the board).
