In too quick

I think that you might be looking at this the wrong way. Either watch as the morons go all in, or use that awesome hand in front of you against them. Don't lose sight of the important thing - how much you paid to enter :)

lucky? in poker?

don't forget (preflop) AA beats 72 only 2 out of 3 times... and that's the best odds you can get...

most preflop all-in hands are a coin flip, no matter what you have... perhaps a few percentage points one way or another for overcards or pairs...

at absolute poker, they have so many freerolls going on, that you can go all-in as much as you want (not that i do), and join the next free roll in less than an hour...

yeah, it makes you mad having a J10 and wanting to see the flop when some ass goes all in and wins with a A2 against KK... but what are you gonna do?

for me it depends on time, my own personal tilt, and how much i actually care about the tournament itself... sometimes i'll be the one calling the KK with an A10 because i'm just tired of seeing someone win, and i think they're buffing... or i've seen them go all in with a small pair and win...

...or i'm hungry

...or that tv show is coming on (i'll keep playing if i double up, otherwise i'm outa here)

normally i play rather conservatively, or i'd never win...

just some thoughts...

:d :o :d

I like when people do this it eliminates people in a hurry as someone almost always calls. Some are playing 3-6 tourneys at a time and dont really care if they get eliminated.

I recently played an AP tourney and made the money using 1 strategy:

Pocket pair > 8: Go All In
Ax (x > 7): Go All In
Raised before your turn to act, always fold (except pp > 10 and AKs)

You soon get a stack way bigger then everyone else... and then you can play aggressive poker. Fun stuff.

JOKERS WILD

Postby Smor1980 » Sat Jul 16, 2005 5:20 pm

I've been playing poker for a loong time. Online poker for about 3 years now, and I have found that the places that host a high number of free turnys have the most jokers. :(

Jokers is what they are! You never know when they are the wild-card.

A you only have two choices. wait for an unbeatable hand, or WAIT them out.

seeing as how online poker is soooo unpredictable, WAIT ! ! !

I like to call the all in first hand of a freeroll the double up or go mow the lawn theory ......also I have noticed that the larger the number of people the quicker they are to go all in .....and the size of freeroll purse seems to change that also.....if you have 25 people playing for a 50 dollar prize payout then they get tight or if its 500 people with a 500 dollar payout they tight .....but if its either 50 dollars or 2000 people then you see more of a rammer jammer style
