Re: 22

How to play a specific hand. Remember to mention if the question concerns Hold'em/Ohama/Stud, Limit/No-Limit, Ring game/Tourney.

poket 2s, an interesting hand, and one which amateurswill believe that is weak, however do not be put off by yourn instincts, 22 against Ak has a better chance of winning, you heard it here

Its great hand to limp in, but it can be easily dominated. Its also pretty good in heads up action!

There's only one way to play a 22 pocket pair. Just raise on the pre-flop, and when I say raise, I mean a big raise. Then go all in on the flop if you don't see your 2. If it's there, start the slow play.

pocket 22

I agree this hand could be very powerfull hand if played right.  But could also be very dangerous if someone calls your raise pre-flop...

ok ok ok
let's be realistic 22 IS almost 50/50 with AK ... given but 22 is also almost 50/50 with 34... and every other 2 card possibility there is except 2x so for a pocket pair 22 is THE ABSOLUTE WEAKEST hand. if you don't flop a set you are done.. .leave pre-flop raises over 4x the blinds alone.

I couldn't agree with you more, though I may be aggressive with the hand post-flop if the cards are low (3 4 6 for example).  In cases such as this, it's fairly safe to say that my opponent(s) have high cards, and I can possibly take down the pot then and there with a big bet.

Limping in is probably the right way to play these unless you get raised then most likely folding is the best option unless you have a lot of chips and want to gamble.
