this is a hard one for me as ni usually find playing the nuts heads up i like to trap, because the odds of a player catching a flop are 3-1, and im sure the other player should know that, but im really confused anyone want to help i dont really know how to play the nutz when im heads up

I like to bet small when I have the nuts heads up. This is because you can get something out of them if they are chasing a straight or a flush. But if you wait till the river and they didn't hit then it is an easy fold for them.

usually a check/call on the flop and then will push a little more on turn, the river gives people way to many opportunites for draws so I like to avoid letting people see it unless they already have a good hand and are willing to pay for it.

i will not play the usual all-in raise, i feel like it runs people out of the game and you are never gonna get their stack, you just wasted an opportunity is all. i start out slow, check out the flop, and then i will make my decision about what needs to happen next.

most of the time I think its best to slowplay.. assuming its the end of a big tourney.

but it depends on what you mean by the nuts.
if you mean the nuts after the flop (ex flop 789 two spades you have 10 J hearts) where you are sure you have the best hand, but could be beated down the road, then you might want to bet.

but if you have the absolute best hand pretty much.. like 22 flop 22A then i think it should be slowplayed. If you check preflop then suddenly bet a lot on that flop, theyll probably think you have a 2 and fold
