I have a story about something that happened to me in a $5.50 JetSet Sit-n-Go tournament.
I'm dealt Ah,Ad on the BB. the SB raises in front of me, and since we're the only 2 in the hand, I only call.
The flop is a monster for me: As, Ac, Qs
I flop my quads. The SB, in an attempt to push me out, raises All-in. I'm sittin there lickin my lips as i click the call button.
He flips over Ks, Kd. He utters an obscenity as I show my Ah, Ad. we both type in "gg" b/c we both know it's all over.
The turn comes, Js........I'm thinkin,"no way".
Before you can blink, the river shows 10s and he makes his Royal Flush.
I show, 4 of a kind, aces.
He shows: 10s,Js,Qs,Ks,As
The reason i call this the worst bad beat possible, is my odds to win after the flop when the money went in the middle. My odds were 99.9%, to his 0.1%.....the lowest odds you can possibly have, to come back and win the hand makes this the worst bad beat possible.
