BAD BAD BAD BEAT

Postby Trisheye » Sun Nov 27, 2005 2:59 pm

I was in (yeah,no kiddin!) an AP $1 buyin multi-table.  Doing very well, too!  I had pkt aces in my hand and the flop came up A75....so here I go!  ALLIN!  The only other player who went up against me allin had a pair of 2s.....so on the turn a 2......you'll never guess the river...yeahhhhhhh buddddy!  a 2......4 2S.....ME A FULLHOUSE...promise of a 4th ace....never happened...I hate 2s

Why does everybody always say when they have a bad beat "only at AP."

It happens everywhere! I get bad beats all the time on prima sites and the I Poker sites... Yeah, I've had my bad beats at AP, but bad beats are inevitable and they are going to happen where ever you play.

I agree with phenom they are not really bad beats - this is not science it is gambling.  So someone calls you with junk and draws out .  The only question I ask myself - did I play it correctly - am I the causee of the "bad beat,"  If the other guy called a large raises, reraise, and other raise with nothing and draws out on the river with 2 outs - my bad luck.

Actually this is a true story.  Found the guy in a ring game the next day.  He played the same way and donated handsomely to my stack.

why me

Postby Sust1982 » Sun Dec 04, 2005 8:02 pm

I can not take it anymore. I seem to be getting beat with less then mediocore hands too frequently, poeple really need to learn the structure of poker, including card choices and position.

I think yo must have discribed this hand wrong,
beacause if he has 42 s i can't see where he has a pair,
do you meen he had 42 suited and there was one 2
on the flop, turn and river or do you meen he had pocket 2's,
and had nothing else then a louse pocket and called you on the flop,
and hit the four of a kind on turn and river!?

Bad luck anyway, just hope you are the "outdrawer" next time.
