bad beats

Postby Ouseetteled » Sun Oct 30, 2005 7:28 pm

I suffered what is my worst bad beat this morning.  I was humming along just fine as we approached bubble time.  Top 20 players got paid.  I got AK unsuited in the small blind and had one limper before me and the big blind ahead of me.  I just called in hopes of getting a good flop and then raising.  The big blind checked to see a free flop.  The flop came 3 A 7 rainbow.  I was at about 5,000 chips and the BB was at $1,000.  With already $3,000 chips in the pot I thought I should push all in.  The BB called (he had 12,000 chips) and the limper folded. Our cards turned over and he had 3 7 for two pair on the flop.  The turn and river did not help me.  Two pair 3's and 7's over my one pair Aces with K kicker.  I was out.  To make matters worse I finished 21st;  one out of the money.
This was the hardest beat so far for me to get over.
Anyone have a worse story?

My worst BB came yesterday.. seconds from atleast $5 in a freeroll, I flop a flush ace high. There's a 10 on the board, pp Q's tries to bluff it, call his all-in, turn and river, both 10's, and im out. lOl.

the AK story was unlucky, not a bad beat really he could have had any 2 cards in the whole deck
