the best hand i ever had was a royal flush on the flop at the commerce casino. i was playing 20-40 limit holdem and was first to act. i raised the pot and the big blind called me. i had the a-q hearts. he had a k-8. the flop came k-j-10 all hearts. the blind bet into me and i just flat called because i didnt want to lose him and i planned on popping him on the turn. the turn brought an 8, giving him two pair. he led out again and i raised. he reraised and i just called because i knew that he would of course lead out on the river. the river was a lovely k. he led out, i raised, he reraised, i reraised. seat nine called out my hand on the flop, but the big blind refused to listen. i couldnt believe the action that i got out of this hand. i had played with him before, and he was known as an action player. but here is the kicker to the story - the dealer eventually became my significant other and we have been together for over 7 years. i got lucky in two ways!!
