Bodog. Mainly because I can send them a money order for deposit. I don't want to use a credit card for poker, and they seem to be the only place that I can send a deposit like this. Plus I have had some success on their tables so far.

Mine would have to be, even if I'm banned for life. I like them because they make it very easy to get bbp, and once uve got 5 bbp, you can easily turn it into 1500 (15 bucks)

I know a few people who have had customer service issues, but right now I like pokerhost.

I dont look at a site for the graphics or any of the crap, I look at the players.

The good thing is that PH isnt saturated with fish like Prima Poker sites are. You know, where they will call down to the river on just about any face card.

It's a good thing to have calling stations at your table, but if you have 6 at every table then your odds of receiving some VERY bad beats are incredible.....

Poker Host has a good mix of players and fish, which is what you should be looking for. I have turned $50 in deposits into over 1500 in the last month alone

Just my two cents

Unfortunately, I do not believe there is ANY online pokerroom that comes close to REAL play, or a real deck.

Even though the pokerrooms use random number generators, there is no way to factor in where the dealer will push this card or that, and being a computer program there is really no way to make it completely random that I know of.

If there ever is a pokerroom that is able to recreate actual play; I will be withdrawing from the other card rooms I currently play at and put all of my money in there.

favorite poker room

Postby Befiture » Sun Feb 20, 2005 8:28 pm has a decent room. they use the crptologic client (same as & caribbean sun). Daily $300 freerolls, but there is a limit of 300 people, so it fills up quick. "you snooze you lose" type of registration.

I studied randomness at university. It's true that there is no way to create true randomness. However you can simulate it with "Perlin Noise". Perlin Noise is like ordinary noise (read randomness), but it looks more random. Compare these two images for example - left pic = ordinary noise, right pic = perlin noise:

Don't know if any poker site implemented it yet though, maybe I should help them out.

Big stacks almost always win

Postby Mystery36 » Tue Feb 22, 2005 4:50 am

I like to play at ICP and CS but it seems to me that no matter the cards I hold in my pocket the big stacks will outdraw me everytime. It may be random or just plain luck but I think the software is set up to do wipe out the players as quickly as possible.I held AA against a big stack in the Sat freeroll and went allin. The big stack called me with94 offsuit. He had a full boat as soon as the flop dropped. My two pair made me want to quit playing online. But thats what keeps me from making any deposits anywhere.

Ultimate bet

Postby Perney » Thu Mar 03, 2005 11:35 pm

I think that is the best site. Every thing about ultimate bet is great. Ok there is one thing that is kinda not as good and that is how many freerolls they have. It isnt that many only 3 a day. other wise it is the best site i have ever played at and i have played at close to 20 sites.

Favorite Poker Sites

I love Poker Champs the most: the cool/slick graphics, the professional style of play, five freerolls a day (no deposit), 10 at a table. I'm a sucker for turbos. Besides the site is owned by Gus Hansen, who often plays on the site, including freerolls sometimes just to say hi.

Poker Stars #2, though the amount of people who can get in a tourney can be daunting. The 54 seat playchip sit-n-gos are good practice when you're first starting out. They handle forum freerolls well.

Absolute Poker third. The freerolls there are respectable (and no deposit), though people play crazy early in the tourneys. They handle forums well.

Ultimate Bet a distant fourth. I hate their Pending Bonus Dollar program which seems like a gyp to me, but they're the best site to play Crazy Pineapple. I wish poker sites had more Hold'em variations, whether Irish Hold'em, Tahoe or Super 8.
