I used to love QQ but lately it has been beating me up. I usually raise it at least 4 times the blind preflop and hope for the best. If no A or K come out, I am all in. If it does I usually throw some sort of bet out and if I get raised I fold it. I love it when I hit the set on the flop though! The hand I hate is JJ!!!

Its premium hand, and I like to get it, and still it isnt the hand to go all-in like most people do. I like to raise it, and see what happens.

My worst nightmare when i go allin whit QQ is when somebody call me whit AK. Almost every time you see an ace or a king on the flop...
Thats why now with high pocket pair i wait the flop to put me allin.

Always best to raise 3-4 times the blind, get players of the crappy hands, see if you get any callers. If thats the case take it from the flop. If an A K appear on flop dont be scared to fold if a big bet is thrown in. However if the cards on the flop are all lower than your QQ's or you hit your Q, your most likely in great shape.

QQ is a great hand obviously the 3rd best hand in the game... i personally think its better than AK, but everytime i have AK against QQ , the QQ always wins and whenver i have QQ against AK theres always an ace on the flop!!

QQ

QQ is one of my favorite starting hands primarily because about 70 percent of the time I get it, I hit my set.  I have gottten very lucky with this hand and it is still my favorite hand.  I love QQ.   8)  8)  8)

I seem to never win with Pocket Queens. No matter position, chipstack, nothing. The last 12 times Ive had it(and yes, I do keep track) Ive lost all but one time, and that time my oponent had aces.

well its a great hand but any k pair or ace pair can beat u, or two pairs like 88 55 or maybe 444 or a diamond flush made with 4 diamonds on the table and a pocket 3, when your queens are of clubs and hearts, or a straight of some sort, not to mention a flush straight, pocket aces and pockets kings if you dont catch another queen or a straight maybe, and they dont either...wtf..just think about the possibilities..aa can get beat by dozins of hands,so does qq.. but it will be your fault you did not raise preflop and then 222 drops on the flop and some guy with 72 decided to check along from bb as long as you did not raise anything anyway... if u spend so much time figuring these things out you should regret not doing your math homework up to 4th grade..because u dont need more math than that..so..my guess is that this is a spam thread to get posts but anyway i posted my opinion.

I have lost with QQ the last five of six times ive had it. I have begun to treat them and jacks like a mid pair. If you raise gang busters, then some donk with ace blank, out of position will call you and catch an ace, for sure.
