Re: 22

poket 2s, an interesting hand, and one which amateurswill believe that is weak, however do not be put off by yourn instincts, 22 against Ak has a better chance of winning, you heard it here ok ok ok let's be realistic 22 IS almost 50/50 with AK ... given but 22 is also almost 50/50 with 34... and e...

WHEN TO CASH OUT ?!?!??!?!

I always seem to go on these extraordinary runs and end up squandering away all of my winnings going for the million dolar payoff... is there a set percentage that anyone uses as a 'cash out' point?

Quitting with AK

Best advice I have heard about AK is raise it up pre-flop and bet every round until someone else takes the lead (assuming you don't hit a pair) any comments?

the $50 for gettin 10 mill in chips

is only bounus money that must be 'earned' into real money by playing alot of real money. besides that you have a certain amount of time to get these 'bonus' bucks before they disapear. so don't get your hopes up about making it all the way and playing for free.

Ultimate bet aint bad either

Not for many freerolls but the level of play there is somewhat higher since it is all mainly real $$$. I did want to say 1 good thing about learning on party poker was that the play money tables there tell you your hand status as it unfolds. (so you won't miss that straight you might not notice as a...

Absolute worked for me

I started off 'learning' hold 'em at party poker and all I learned is that no one actually plays the game unless it is for real money. Absolute has many daily freerolls and although they are free to join, people will actually play a bit better than play money tables because the is a real prize at st...

gotta disagree

usually through a raise you are looking at a coin flip at best, I play these like a suited connector or any other draw hand. watch how many callers to see if it is worth the pot to call, realizing that only a set is gonna make your hand strong. if you hit a set, slow down and crack high hands, if you...

KQ

This has gone from my "favorite hand" to my "favorite hand to lose with" the ol' 'marriage' won me a couple of large pots, beating hands that it shouldn't have, at separate cash games, and therefore became known to my poker pals as my hand. I started playing it like AA and giving it way to much supp...

something else to remember

on the flip side, Having AA or KK early often get's you paid off because of the amount of "luck players" still in the game calling any bets. Having the most chips isn't what gets you paid in large fields, it is lasting the longest. so that huge pot pre-flop looks great but if you can watch 10 more "...

don't bite early

I have a tendency to avoid all of the all in fests early if I don't NEED to double up to stay in. It seems that if you fold all of your "good" hands that you may normally to call in this situation like A10 suited, or JJ, because of the amount of potential compitition in the hand. in other words you ...
