new sites

I like to try new sites, but, I have dial- up and have a lot of trouble with getting them to run once I have downloaded them. The sites support people tell me after hours of trying everything they tell me to do, that if I have dial-up I'm probably not going to be able to use there sits. Is this a pr...

Titan Poker

I downloaded Titan poker, could not get it to run, I contacted the site for help, they were helpful, but, I did everything that they said to do and still can not get it to run. After a week of back and forth e-mails to Titan I called them, they were quick to ask me if I had dial-up, and said that it...

Party poker

Well, I have Pary Poker on my computer, and ever since they had that major upgrade, I have not been very happy with the site. I have dial up and now I have a lot of problem with the site disconnecting me. It takes me an hour to sign up for a tournament, if I can at all. I am very   disapp...

Well in my opinion, the only strategy that you can have with these two hands is to slow play them and hope for a straight or set. The straight would be the best you could hope for. I never put too much into these kind of hands, they always come back to bite you.  :c

the "All-in"

All in's have their place in a tournament. It's at the end, when you don't have enough chips to last more than a few laps around the table. In fact if you have first position (or eveyone folds to you) you should definitely go all in,  no matter what you have. It's the only way to get bac...

horseshoe approach lol

Well, either you haven't been playing very long or you have a horseshoe somewhere where the sun don't shine.  This is definitely not a continuing winning hand. I like this response a lot. a mediocore hand like this is not a winning hand all the time, in fact not much of the time. If you are pl...

on-line poker made a felony in Washington State

Has anyone heard of the new law in Washington State? If you are caught playing poker on-line, you can be charged with a felony, with max jail time of 5 years, and fined up to $10,000. Why is the government always so behind in what the public really wants.  :h   Big brother is watchin...

QJ

I personally would fold this hand unless I was in the BB or SB and everyone folded to me. If you do hit one of your pairs, you prolly gave someone with a Ak, AQ, or A10 a pretty good chance for a straight. So your good pair cards would be their better straight cards.  :!:

rigging proof

I read Bill's Blog, and the "proof" you people are freaking over is just a joke. Get over it and laugh like you were meant to do. If sites were rigged they wouldn't make it that easy to detect.

Freerolls, you get what you pay for!!

freerolls are a crap shoot! You don't pay anything to enter them, so anything goes. The loose players can get lucky and build up a large stack early. I see that all the time, five minutes into the game and someone already has $12k in chips. But keeping it is the hard part. The last time I did really...

Omaha Hi/Lo strategy Plt Limit vers. Limit

Well according to a book that I read on the subject, if you are playing PL, you never raise preflop, even with the best possible hand. You don't want to chase out your potential earnings before the flop. If you go all in most of the other players will fold. With Limit however, it is ok to raise pref...

The good, the Bad, and the ugly Beats

They are all part of poker. I find that when I play in the low buy-in tournaments there are a lot of bad players who chase down to the river with absolutely nothing. Loosing to them is hard, but, they won't be around to see the money. If you really want to cut down on the bad beats, spend a little m...

Tempertantrum

It's always best to not let your opponent know that he has made you mad. I always chat a "lol" I never let them see me sweat (or steam). Half of the provoking strategy is getting the opponent mad enough to respond and waste precious time venting. There is always someone who spends most of his time t...

Stupid Plays

With the mushrooming growth of internt poker, there are more and more newbies playing on the net. The newbies have no clue to the stategy needed to win. They just bet to the end because no one ever told them they shouldn't. They usually don't last too long in a tournament. If you can hold out for a ...
