However, if your still on a flush draw after the turn, your winning odds are only 10:1

I assume by flush draw you are holding 2 suited with 2 more on the board.Surely the correct odds are 37-9 ie just over 4-1 rather than the 10-1 you suggest.

best recent hand

On big blind with the dreaded 2 7...no raise...flop 2 2 7...wow...decided to slow play and raised blind only...guy goes all in. I thought for a microsecond and called it. Cards are turned...he's got 7 7...oh dear I thought...or words to that effect. Turn J....river....2. He was not a happy puppy.

fallacy is just that

I don't subscribe to the theory at all. Whether its live or online the cards dealt to you are just that, they don't know that you've had 32 'bad' hands already dealt to you in a row. Sure you will get dealt AA 1 in 220 hands but you probably need to play about a million hands before you arrive at ex...

Re: sTRAIGHT DRAW

Often times paying too much attention to pot odds can get you knocked out when you know you still have a chance even with a low stack.  That's the way I always look at it.  I hit the straight;   great!  But if I don't I won't committ all my chips to try to steal the pot.  I've been busted out too of...

3 better than 2

Personally once that 3rd 4 came on the turn I would be more confident of winning the hand. After the flop there are two 4's unaccounted for, anyone holding either is ahead of me. Once the turn comes only one card to beat you. Sure luck can be against you but I'd play it as if I had the winning hand.

pot odds

A simplistic approach to this is to check your pot odds. An open ended straight is approx 6-1 against filling and a gutshot is about 12-1. I find its rarely good value to chase a gutshot but open ended can often be played depending on the other players.

Bet 365

Bet 365 are running a promotion this month. For every 50 raked hands played they are giving $10, up to a maximum of $100. Third month running they have done this and well on my way to my 3rd $100.

Umm am I missing something here? Surely if you get to check on the big blind you play any hand. If it costs nothing then even 2 7 off is worth a look.
