Some of them are really good players. There isn't a big difference between the the top player and the next 500 or more. Poker really isn't a game of I'm better then you so I should win at that level. It is reading players and experience that really makes the difference and certainly luck plays a hug...

He just had a great run of cards like many of the previous winners. From watching him play, I don't believe that he is even an average pro player. I'd play him any game any time and I'm certain I could beat him.

Most freerolls take less then 2 hours. Yes the big ones like on AP or Stars can take that long but those aren't "normal". If you are constantly playing rolls with 1000 or more people you should consider the whys of it...

It is the attitude that "its just a freeroll" that creates this play. I have friends that if you give them free money online view it as exactly that. They will donk around until there are broke. The smart ones try to make more off the freebies. Actually, for the most part I've seen better play in th...

The answer is different online as it would be live. Online I'd probably raise 1010 and better, AJ and better.

Yes, playing at 2 high a level for your bankroll can lead to disaster. Ocassional shots at higher levels might be okay if you have the emotional control not to self destruct.

I don't know who your playing but I think that heads up for the most part is much harder to play then a full table. Heads up you have to consider playing every hand for every raise. At a full table that certainly shouldn't be the case.

AJ and KQ. I find that I fold them often. KQ isn't better then A2. If your facing a raise what do you think that you can beat? Many bad players and a lot of good players play these hands to raises and it is often a huge mistake. Phil Gordon once said (not that I think he's all that good) If you alwa...

I'd have put him on at least the nut low or the straight with redraws. His play was to get you to fold a better low if that was all you had or to not let you draw to it. You got a bit lucky. His play and yours where fine. The only thing that would worry me is if he has the nut low and the straight. ...

I will only show rarely. I'll show if I think that the players think that I'm stealing to much when I have a lot of hands. I'll show monsters like quads sometimes.

I believe that is the worst possible bad beat on the flop. runner runner perfect. He had less then one half of one percent of a chance to beat you.
Unreal! I did see similar on television once and I've had that happen to me more then a few times.

Isn't it amazing that it seems to happen at the worst times? Then again maybe that is why you remember them so vividly. Like you, I take so many beats in any given day it is a wonder I'm not in counciling.
