I'm going to be hosting 20+5 dollar buy in tourney's starting in the fall, any advice? I don't really have to worry about fights (I am the biggest of all my friends) but wonder how long a two table tourney would run? And how should i deal with raising the blinds?

(the 5 bucks helps covers the cost of pizza, chips and beer)

start everyone with 70 chips and decide on a number for the final table depending on the amt of ppl entered(your choice) raise every hour starting from 1 2 then 2 4 and so on once you have final table have a chip count down 1 chip for every 5 or 10 depend again on the number of ppl. this should make it last a while

I would start with 100 chips, and make the blinds 1-2. Raise blinds every 15 minutes. When you get down to say, 7 or so, make them the final table. You should pay out to top 5 or so, depending on turnout and group consensus. I really do like the tourney fee idea though! It would work in perfectly! The tourney would probably take between 2.5 to 4 hours to complete depending on the style of players
