Absolute is an absolute waste of time for me

Postby Mystery36 » Thu Mar 24, 2005 10:45 pm

Ive played in about 20 tourneys on Absolute now and I seem to make it for hours and then I iether get knocked out by some rediculous hand or I quit getting cards completely. The last 6 tourneys I was eliminated about 10 spots from the cash. The only time I made it to the end was in our little freeroll and I placed 2nd in a WSOP qualifier. The final I was knocked out 6 places early.Does anyone else have any luck with this site?

No luck at Absolute Poker either.

I've probably played in a couple dozen of the Absolute Poker Freerolls and a couple of the point ones (in my "wilder" days I deposited there, and lost my bankroll at like $3/6 before I could even clear the bonus ... don't like that they put a time limit on clearing). Have yet to place in any of them. With 2000 people it can be tough though. Better to place in some of the bigger freerolls elsewhere anyway ;)

AP

Considering $ / Hr. I suspose AP is a waste. I have placed in the money in their freerolls. I enjoy the varity of games. I find that playing Omaha helps my Hold'em.

It takes a considerable hand to win in Omaha. If you take that attitude into Hold'em you will waste less bets.

its true that Absolute has one of the slowest freerolls...but...im happy...

freerolls at absolute gave me 70 dollars by now!!

(Im kinda a lucky guy)...

and its amazing to know that they have.

-Omaha Freerolls
-Omaha HI/LO Freerolls
-7 card stud Freerolls
-7 card stud HI/LO Freerolls
-NL Texas holdem Freerolls
-Limit Texas Holdem Freerolls

Its good to practice ALL the poker styles!

AP

I've cleared about 50 bucks in freerolls at Absolute. Most of my money came from the freerolls from websites. I've cashed twice in the 2000 people freerolls, but it took a long time to just win 5 bucks!!!

All i play currently is AP and i seem to win alot of freerolls, or at least place, which i consider winning :), but my luck seems just fine in all the other cash games, so i think its just bad luck on your part, Sorry.

But dont forget that if you place high in Absolute you get a free entry to the sunday AP challenge where the prize pool is around $1000.

Sometimes Ap seems like its against you, but overall its a decent site and its worth the time to play there. Ive only placed once in the Freeroll with 2000 ppl, realizing its just a waste of 5 hrs! Play low buy-in tournaments and private freerolls to learn how to play and make some decent money.

Absolute

I've played Jetset, UtimateBet, PokerStars, Royal Vegas, Party Poker and Absolute. It seems Absolute gives the most freerolls and the most restricted club events which are easy to join. So if you can put up with the long tournys and avoid the bingo players hands you can make a few bucks there.

I've been pretty pleased with the freerolls at Absolute. Only problem I seem to have is that sometimes their software starts to act up near the end of the tourney. In SitnGo tourneys, the software always seems to get stupid when it gets down to the last 4 people. Seems to slow down or just start to lock up. Thought it was my old computer and dialup connection so I went and bought a brand new computer and got cable ... still have that same problem near the end of the tournament. Wish I knew what's going on. :?

What a joke!

Postby Examoster » Sat Jun 11, 2005 10:36 pm

I agree! I've ost to some ridiculous hands too! Ever since they raised the deposit to $30 and the withdrawl to $50, it is a complete waste of time!

Hmmm, that's great. Now ... try to "Withdraw" that money.

Good Luck!

what is AP's policy on withdrawal of money won? What if you win more $$ with the tourney money wins?

What about hasselquist freeroll wins? Can it be withdrawn?
