podube, its not only the patience. You have to have the pokerhead too. You can be patient, but its not only that!

Learn to play, come talk to me after.  :D

I like to play very tight/aggressive throughout any tourney I play in wheather it be a freeroll or a buy in tourney.  Save the bluffing for the final 2 tables after you have established a very tight table image.  This method has proved to work very good for me.

poker freeroles

if you are in a freerole it is very important just to have fun and play your best and that is the most likely chance to win

freeroll

Postby Experearie » Fri Jun 02, 2006 12:41 pm

I definitely agree that the only way to go in freerolls is to play tight, and agg, . It's hard to do sometimes because they can be long and one can get pretty impatient, but it's almost always better to wait for good cards and play them aggressively.

Freerolls

Postby Wharleas » Sun Jun 11, 2006 5:47 pm

I think playing aggressive in the beginning and as tight as you can, is the best way to get right up there to the last table.

Don't be tempted by all the "All In's" freaks at the beginning, big mistake.  This will most likely get you out in the first half hour or 1 hour of the tourney almost every time...

well freerolls are mostly for beginners if you are to develop strategy for those u make one of your own as you learn... it's not that hard you just need to learn the game a little maybe 3-4 months of play depending on how much you poker every day

end of tourney

Postby Broand » Fri Jun 16, 2006 12:49 pm

any advice for the final tables?  I can make it to the top 20 or 30 and then I start bombing out.....Maybe I should play more tight at the end.

This is when you really need to use the "Selective Aggressise" approach.  When you deem a hand playable, you raise with it and hope that you can steal enough blinds to keep yourself afloat.

99

I like to go all in with 99 or above at the early stages....sometimes you get lucky and get a big stack going....Otherwise just go to a different freeroll....

Overjoe I dont like ur strategy, coz its like 50/50 at begining of freeroll, so if u dont win u lose all, dont sounds good for me  :s
